Pa Kua Saturdays 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Pa Kua is based on the Pa Kua Circle (Octogon). This form is done entirely on the Pa Kua Circle. In Pa Kua you walk from point to point of the octogon while performing the moves. Pa Kua stresses Balance again, but also stresses staying rooted to the ground while walking. The screw-type motion is the most powerful motion in Pa Kua, it's the idea of moving forward with a twist and can accomplish many things from a Martial perspective. Pa Kua can be very quick, all the motion in Pa Kua is controlled through the waist, all twisting starts there. Its a very powerful and quick style thats also very effective against a single opponent or multiple opponents.

The Pa Kua walk is the most common form of training here, it's a great leg workout and teaches you very powerful footwork even while advancing or retreating. Coordinating the waist with arms can create very powerful attacks and defenses along with take downs and joint manipulation.
